For the young adults who are just leaving school and college, there is an increasing amount of pressure to go on and spend 3 years minimum studying for a university degree, often acquiring masses of debt in the process. In our highly skilled, hands-on environment of Information Technology, we believe that although education is important, the skills you need in IT can only be honed in practice.
LCS Group plans to launch the first of our IT Academy’s here at our headquarters in Grimsby, as a genuine alternative to higher education. Candidates will learn skills needed, whilst on the job and earning good money, that will allow them to create a hugely successful career for themselves in one of the most in-demand industries.
We have recognised that the demand for high quality technicians far outweighs the amount of suitable candidates in the area. This initiative will not only help other businesses locally thrive through the power of IT, but it also means that we will continue to grow our team of competent, successful technicians, learning from the best and helping LCS Group to stand out even further from the competition.
The academy has already seen heavy investment into state of the art equipment and facilities for its students, and is expected to be open for the first group of candidates early 2019.
